The role involves providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients, assisting veterinarians with examinations and procedures, and performing diagnostic imaging like x-rays and ultrasounds. Responsibilities also include maintaining medical records, administering treatments, and professionally communicating basic diagnoses to pet owners.
Candidates must have at least six months of prior experience as a Veterinary Assistant or Technician, with Veterinary Technician licensure preferred, and knowledge of lab procedures, medical records, and SOAP notes. Essential skills include proficiency in phlebotomy, administering injections, reading various lab tests, and experience with anesthesia monitoring.
