The Medical Assistant supports the clinical care team by providing both administrative and clinical assistance to ensure efficient primary care delivery and a patient-focused experience. Key duties include performing clinical tasks like administering injections, collecting specimens, taking vital signs, and assisting with procedures, alongside administrative tasks like chart preparation and patient communication.
Candidates must be graduates of a Medical Assistant program and possess a High School diploma or equivalent; MA certification is preferred. Essential abilities include clear communication, maintaining confidentiality, reacting calmly in emergencies, knowledge of medical terminology, and proficiency in patient care procedures and equipment use.
