Animal Care Technician

The animal care technician is responsible for the daily care, feeding, medicating, and cleaning of patients in the hospital and boarding facility, which includes tasks like laundry, bathing, and walking dogs. Responsibilities also involve restocking supplies, assisting medical staff with restraint and exams, and maintaining accurate records of patient status and medication.

Candidates must possess knowledge of proper cleaning and disinfecting methods, along with the ability to use cleaning equipment efficiently and perform moderately heavy physical labor. Essential qualities include the ability to patiently attend to sick or injured animals and the capacity to learn medication administration and recognize abnormal conditions.
