The laboratory assistant supports functions including preanalytical processing, preparing specimens for reference laboratories, and handling accessioning and registration duties under the supervisor's direction. This role ensures compliance with safety and accreditation standards while adapting to laboratory testing and scheduling needs.
A minimum requirement is a High School Graduate or equivalent, along with one year of experience in a laboratory, medical, or related setting, or equivalent training. Candidates must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to adhere strictly to OSHA and regulatory requirements.

Under the direction of the Supervisor, the lab assistant is responsible for support functions, preanalytical processing, preparing specimens to send to appropriate reference laboratories and accessioning/ registration functions.
