ED Technician - Emergency Department - Full Time - Nights

• Assists with patient care based on the individual needs within the scope of practice, under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse.

Duties

• include, but are not limited to delegated aspects of age-appropriate patient care, taking vital signs, phlebotomy, respiratory therapy and ECG under the direction of the RN. Performs technical and medical procedures not governed by licensure.
• Maintains an organized working system in the emergency department through accurate documentation, orderly filing, and by ensuring appropriate departments receive the paperwork documentation required for patient care delivery.
• Effectively moves patients, supplies and equipment in a safe and timely manner as directed.
• Consistently provides quality patient care and is proactive in providing excellent service to the patients.
• Communicates effectively with other health care workers, physicians, patients and their families/friends.
