The technician utilizes laboratory skills to execute and report results from defined laboratory procedures, ensuring optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities include receiving, organizing, and prioritizing specimens, performing tests, and conducting quality control and routine instrument maintenance.
A minimum requirement is basic computer literacy and national certification in concordance with federal/state regulations, with full certification required within six months of hire. Educationally, an Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent military training is required.
Utilizes laboratory skills to perform and report results of clearly defined laboratory procedures assuring optimal patient outcomes. Responsible for assigned shifts and subject to overtime and call back as required. Performs other duties as assigned.
