The CT Technologist is responsible for accurately interpreting physician orders, administering contrast materials, and operating the CT Scanner to acquire quality diagnostic images while strictly adhering to safety procedures like ALARA principles. Key duties involve patient preparation, image acquisition, complete documentation of procedures, recognizing deviations, and performing daily/weekly quality assurance checks on equipment.
Minimum requirements include graduation from an accredited CT Technology school and at least one year of active experience as a CT Technologist, although recent eligible graduates will be considered if they pass the registry within six months. Candidates must possess current CPR/BLS certifications, state CT licensure if applicable, and fluency in English, with ARRT CT certification being required.
