Staff Nurses are responsible for assessing patients' nursing care needs, evaluating the effectiveness of care provided, and integrating nursing theory and research into clinical practice. Duties include developing patient care plans, implementing interventions, documenting responses, and coordinating care across settings for adult patients with acute physical and psychiatric disorders.
Required qualifications include an Associate’s Degree in Nursing or higher, current Iowa RN license by the date of hire, and excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, along with general computer skills. A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Nursing is highly desired, as is previous inpatient RN experience.
