The Nurse Practitioner will provide advanced nursing care to patients with various endocrine disorders, diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions collaboratively with endocrinologists. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive patient assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, prescribing medications, and emphasizing patient education on disease management and self-care techniques.
Candidates must possess a Master’s or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, along with current RN and NP licensure and DEA permits in the state of practice. National board certification as an AGACNP-BC or ACNPC-AG is required, while Certification in Diabetes Education or experience in diabetes management is highly desirable.

Work Shift: Day (United States of America) Scheduled Weekly Hours: 32 Union Position: No Department Details Join established, highly tenured group of Endocrinologists 4 days per week, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, days off varies Summary The Endocrinology Nurse Practitioner provides advanced nursing care to patients with endocrine disorders such as diabetes, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, adrenal and pituitary disorders, and metabolic conditions. The NP works collaboratively with endocrinologists and healthcare teams to deliver comprehensive, evidence-based care, emphasizing patient education, disease management, and prevention.
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history-taking, physical exams, and review of diagnostic tests. Diagnose and manage acute and chronic endocrine disorders. Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans. Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests as per scope of practice and state regulations. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly. Provide patient education on disease processes, medication management, lifestyle modifications, and self-care techniques. Collaborate with physicians, dietitians, diabetes educators, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes. Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education to stay current with advances in endocrinology. Facilitate referrals to specialists or community resources as needed. Support research activities or clinical trials, if applicable. Qualifications Master’s or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program. If APRN was licensed prior to August 1, 1995, master's degree in nursing is preferred. Certification in Diabetes Education (CDE) or experience in diabetes management is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of endocrine disorders, pathophysiology, and treatment modalities. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner in each state of practice. Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe controlled substances in each state of practice. State Controlled Substance License (if required by State) National board certification as an Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP-BC) or ACNPC-AG), Acute Care Adult (ACNP-BC). Additional certifications require approval from a market executive leader: Family (FNP-BC) or (FNP–C), Adult-Gerontology Primary Care (AGPCNP-BC) or (A-GNP) Obtains and subsequently maintains required specific competencies and certifications as outlined on privilege form.
