The technician will perform essential patient care processes by embedding and preparing slides for routine H&E and special stain procedures, while also performing and documenting scheduled preventative maintenance tasks. This role requires recognizing when troubleshooting is necessary for processing, embedding, cutting, and staining operations within a hazardous laboratory setting.
Candidates must have graduated from a CAHEA/NAACLS accredited Histotechnology school and possess HT (ASCP) certification, along with a minimum of one year of laboratory training or experience handling high complexity testing. Strong analytical, reading, and writing skills are necessary to operate various laboratory equipment effectively.
