Assist the surgeon(s) by providing basic instrumentation and sterile techniques for procedures performed in the Operating Room. Responsible for the care, handling, and maintenance of surgical equipment, instrumentation, and supply management.
Required education includes a GED or High School Diploma and completion of a surgical technologist program. Certification from NCCT, NBSTSA, or LCCC-ST is required, along with less than 1 year of surgical technologist experience.
45am - 3:15pm Assist the surgeon(s) by providing basic instrumentation and sterile techniques for procedures performed in the Operating Room and provide patient care as well as mentorship/training of surgical technologists in the clinical setting. The Specialty technologist is also responsible for the care, handling and maintenance of surgical equipment, instrumentation and supply management. Responsible for populating the STS Data base or collecting other Perioperative data for performance improvement.
