The Hospice Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care by responding to triage calls, making home visits, and liaising with the medical team. They must assess patient needs and provide nursing care and emotional support.
Candidates must have a valid RN license in Virginia and two years of relevant nursing experience, which can include bedside, geriatric, long-term care, hospice, ICU, or Step Down. A driver's license and personal automobile with liability insurance are also required.

We are seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for our Night/Evening/Weekend Services team in the Charlottesville and surrounding areas who want the opportunity to truly use their nursing skills in an autonomous setting and to make a difference.
This Night, Evening, and Weekend (NEWT) Crisis RN will be a versatile nurse with excellent assessment and nursing skills that translate to the bedside. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care through timely and responsible management of patient/family needs by responding to triage telephone calls, making visits as needed, and liaising with the medical team and vendors through the weekends and nights.
Valid license as an RN in the Commonwealth of Virginia Two years of relevant nursing experience required (relevant includes bedside, geriatric, long-term care, hospice, ICU, Step Down or any combination of the above) Driver’s license, personal automobile, and current automobile liability insurance Typical Physical Demands/Working Conditions Drive short/long distances. The physical demands may require employees to regularly use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms; Sit, stand, stoop, bend, reach, lift and walk, climb steps. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision, and ability to adjust focus. Communicate by phone, writing, speaking; Regular use of computer screen and keyboarding are required. Lift 50 pounds, push up to 200 pounds in a wheelchair. Must be able to work in residential environments that have difficult conditions including, but not limited to, cramped space, pets, dirt, allergens, smoke, and limited seating.
