The primary duty involves providing Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) to the adult population in the post-acute care setting within a set geography, requiring travel. The clinician will also provide general patient care for other diagnoses in the post-acute setting as needed.
Candidates must possess a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field and hold the CCC-SLP certification, along with state licensure. Preferred experience includes 2+ years working with adults with dysphagia, and the role requires a strong passion for FEES and willingness to travel.
Strong passion for instrumental swallow assessment, specifically FEES Interest in community marketing of FEES and the willingness to grow the program within the geography Excellent communication skills for collaborating with colleagues Willingness to assist with other evaluation and treatment of the adult population in the post-acute setting Possibility to assist in the growth and support of developing future Endoscopists through CEU participation and competency/support on-site visits and training. The SLP may also provide patient care in the post-acute setting with other diagnoses Must possess a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders or a similarly titled area that is consistent and acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. The Speech Language Pathologist must be licensed, certified or credentialed, as required in the state of practice.
