The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant will assist with evaluations and implement Occupational Therapy treatment plans to improve residents' Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and functional mobility. This includes supporting interventions for various conditions and teaching adaptive techniques while accurately documenting all therapy sessions and outcomes.
Candidates must possess a current COTA license in California and an Associate’s or higher degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program. Essential skills include the ability to follow treatment plans, strong communication and teamwork for interdisciplinary collaboration, and accurate documentation and time management.
Anticipated Start Date: Flexible
Up to $1,800 weekly Anticipated duration of contract: 13 weeks Contract type: Travel, Permanent, or Travel-to-Perm Clinical Duties: Assist with evaluations and implement OT treatment plans. Provide therapy to improve residents’ ADLs and functional mobility. Support interventions for orthopedic, neurological, and post-acute conditions. Teach adaptive techniques and proper use of assistive devices. Collaborate with OTs, nursing, and rehab teams on care goals. Document therapy sessions, progress, and daily notes accurately. Monitor resident responses and report outcomes to supervising OT.
Current COTA license in the state of California. Associate’s or higher degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program. Ability to follow OT treatment plans and assist with interventions. Strong communication and teamwork skills for interdisciplinary collaboration. Accurate documentation and time management skills.
