The Vascular Surgeon will provide comprehensive surgical and endovascular care for patients with diseases of the arterial, venous, and lymphatic systems, involving evaluation, diagnosis, and management using open and minimally invasive techniques. Key duties include performing surgical procedures, managing complex conditions like PAD and aortic aneurysms, and providing inpatient/outpatient services.
Candidates must possess an MD or DO from an accredited medical school and complete an accredited Vascular Surgery residency or fellowship. Applicants must be Board certified or eligible in Vascular Surgery and eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in the practicing state, along with DEA registration or eligibility.
Vascular SurgeonPosition Summary The Vascular Surgeon provides comprehensive surgical and endovascular care for patients with diseases of the arterial, venous, and lymphatic systems. This role includes the evaluation, diagnosis, and management of complex vascular conditions using both open and minimally invasive techniques, with a focus on evidence-based, patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities Evaluate and manage patients with arterial, venous, and lymphatic vascular disease Perform open and endovascular surgical procedures within scope of practice Manage conditions such as peripheral arterial disease, carotid disease, aortic aneurysms, and venous disorders Provide emergency and elective vascular surgical care Interpret diagnostic imaging, noninvasive vascular studies, and test results Develop and implement individualized treatment and surgical plans Provide inpatient care, outpatient clinic services, and consultative coverage Participate in call coverage for vascular surgery services Collaborate with interventional radiology, cardiology, primary care, and surgical teams Educate patients and families regarding disease processes, treatment options, and postoperative care Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and surgical outcomes initiatives Practice Setting Hospital-based surgical practice with outpatient clinic Operating room, endovascular suite, and vascular laboratory environments Schedule and call responsibilities based on practice model Patient Population Adult patients with acute and chronic vascular conditions Elective and emergent surgical cases
