The Family Medicine Physician will provide comprehensive, patient-centered primary care to individuals and families across all ages in an outpatient setting, focusing on preventive care, health maintenance, and managing acute and chronic conditions. Key duties include evaluating, diagnosing, and treating illnesses, ordering diagnostic tests, performing in-office procedures, and coordinating care with specialists.
Candidates must hold a medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution and have completed an accredited Family Medicine residency program. Board eligibility or certification in Family Medicine and an active state medical license are required, along with strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Family Medicine Physician – (MD/DO)
The Family Medicine Physician provides comprehensive, patient-centered primary care to individuals and families across the lifespan in an outpatient setting. The physician focuses on preventive care, health maintenance, and the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic conditions while fostering long-term patient relationships. Key Responsibilities Provide primary care services to patients of all ages Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and injuries Manage chronic medical conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, and heart disease Deliver preventive care, including annual exams, health screenings, and immunizations Provide age-appropriate health education and lifestyle counseling Order, interpret, and review diagnostic tests, laboratory studies, and imaging Perform in-office procedures within scope of practice Coordinate care with specialists, hospitals, and ancillary services Document patient encounters accurately and timely in the medical record Participate in quality improvement, population health, and patient safety initiatives Adhere to evidence-based guidelines, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school Completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency program Board eligible or board certified in Family Medicine Active state medical license or eligibility for licensure Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered outpatient care Work Environment Typical schedule includes weekdays; limited or no call depending on practice model Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout the clinic Manual dexterity to perform examinations and minor procedures Ability to assist with patient mobility as needed
