The Internal Medicine Physician will provide comprehensive medical care to adult patients, focusing on prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses. This includes managing complex conditions, coordinating care, and ensuring high-quality, patient-centered outcomes.
Candidates must possess a medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited school and have completed an accredited Internal Medicine residency program. Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine and an active state medical license are required, along with strong clinical judgment and interpersonal skills.
Internal Medicine Physician (MD/DO) –
The Internal Medicine Physician provides comprehensive medical care to adult patients, focusing on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses. The physician manages complex medical conditions and coordinates care across specialties to ensure high-quality, patient-centered outcomes. Key Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and manage adult patients with acute and chronic medical conditions Provide preventive care, health maintenance, and wellness counseling Order, interpret, and review diagnostic tests, laboratory studies, and imaging Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans Manage complex and multiple comorbid conditions Coordinate care with specialists, nursing staff, and ancillary services Provide inpatient and/or outpatient care as assigned, including hospital rounds when applicable Document patient encounters accurately and timely in the medical record Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and compliance initiatives Adhere to clinical guidelines, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency program Board eligible or board certified in Internal Medicine Active state medical license or eligibility for licensure Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Work Environment May include outpatient clinics, inpatient hospital settings, or a combination of both Schedule varies based on practice model and coverage needs, including possible call, evenings, or weekends Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout clinical areas Manual dexterity to perform examinations and procedures Ability to assist with patient mobility as needed
