The Medical Professional evaluates donor eligibility through medical reviews and physical assessments, documents all relevant information, and monitors donors for adverse reactions while providing necessary care. They also consult with the center Physician, counsel deferred donors, and maintain accurate regulatory documentation.
Candidates must possess a current, valid state license or certification such as Physician, RN, LPN, or EMT, along with current CPR certification and state authorization for moderate complexity testing. Physical requirements include the ability to sit or stand for extended periods, lift up to thirty-five pounds, and occasionally work in extremely cold environments.
