The primary purpose of the Nurse Extern is to carry out routine and assigned nursing tasks within the scope of their training and experience. They will assist the Registered Nurse with carrying out patient care activities according to hospital policies and procedures.
Candidates must be a Junior or Senior enrolled in an Accredited Professional Nursing program and must provide two letters of recommendation from their instructors. Applicants also need experience effectively dealing with the public and must possess current CPR and Glucoscan certifications.

The externs will have an opportunity to gain valuable clinical experience and work alongside Registered Nurses.
