The Direct Support Professional will support clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities in daily living activities, including personal care, health management, meal preparation, and community involvement. Responsibilities also include advocating for clients, assisting with support plan creation, administering medication, and maintaining required documentation.
Minimum requirements include a High School Diploma or G.E.D., being at least 18 years old, and passing an Oregon criminal background screening. Preferred qualifications include 1-2 years of experience as a DSP or CNA and experience using the Therap platform.

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) will work as part of a team to serve individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Springfield area. At Rise & Shine, DSPs support clients with living meaningful and rewarding lives. This includes assisting with daily living activities, administering medication and advocacy.
1-2 years of experience as a DSP or CNA (preferred, not required) Experience using Therap (preferred, not required) Minimum Requirements: Must have High School Diploma or G.E.D. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must pass Oregon criminal background screening. Must possess basic computer skills and be able to complete documentation electronically. Must be able to remain awake and alert while on shift. Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs., bend and/or squat. Must be able to walk up and down stairs. Must be able to perform job with or without a reasonable accommodation. Must be flexible to work at different locations depending on where there is need for additional support during their weekly schedule.
