The Patient Care Technician delivers various direct and indirect care services, addressing patient dependency needs such as nutrition, hygiene, safety, and physical and psychological comfort measures. This role operates under the direct supervision of licensed nursing staff and must align with the organization's mission, vision, and values.
A High School Diploma or GED is required for this position, along with an active Florida CNA license. Experience as a Hospital PCT or CNA is preferred, and nursing students must be currently enrolled in an ASN or BSN program and have completed Fundamentals of Nursing.
Job Summary The Patient Care Technician provides a variety of indirect and direct care, including provision for patient's dependency needs such as nutrition, hygiene, safety and physical and psychological comfort measures, to patient and significant others, under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values.
High school diploma or G.E.D required. Florida CNA license required. Hospital PCT/CNA experience preferred. Nursing students: currently enrolled in a Nursing program (ASN or BSN) and have completed Fundamentals of Nursing (must submit unofficial transcript with application).
