The Occupational Therapist will help patients regain independence and quality of life by assessing diverse patients, developing treatment plans, and conducting evaluations to safely perform daily activities. Responsibilities also include collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, documenting thoroughly, and providing motivating care to a high volume of patients.
Candidates must have a High School Graduate or GED, along with a minimum of two years of clinical experience demonstrating high independence and competence. A valid Occupational Therapist license in California and Basic Life Support - CPR certification are required upon hire.
Accurately identifies patient's functional deficits/dysfunction through review of the medical record, through observation of the patient, through information obtained from the patient/family, and through assessment of expressive/receptive language, motor speech, cognitive/linguistic hearing, voice and swallowing and other speech therapy assessment techniques.
Discussion, Feedback, Chart Review, Observation.
Communicates regularly with other members of the healthcare team regarding goals, progress and rehab potential. Works as a collaborative member of the treatment team.
