The Physical Therapist assists patients in achieving maximum physical performance by interpreting evaluations, determining treatment goals, and administering manual exercises and physical activities. Responsibilities also include evaluating treatment effects, adjusting plans for maximum benefit, and supervising Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs).
Candidates must have graduated from an accredited physical therapy program, with DPT required for licensure from 2016 onward, and hold a required Massachusetts Physical Therapist License and Basic Life Support certification. Preferred experience includes 1-2 years and a preferred Master's or DPT degree.
