Provide comprehensive clinical care for pediatric cardiac surgical patients, including neonatal and infant populations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to perform surgeries and manage ECMO while contributing to quality improvement initiatives.
Requires an MD or equivalent medical degree with board certification in Cardiothoracic and Congenital Cardiac Surgery. Candidates must have a minimum of two years of clinical experience in congenital heart surgery and be eligible for medical licensure in Virginia.

CHKD provides care in over 30 pediatric subspecialties and offers access to advanced pediatric surgical services. Surgeons perform more than 13,000 procedures annually across CHKD’s pediatric surgical facilities. The hospital includes a 32-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and a 70-bed Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), supported by an experienced neonatal and pediatric critical care transport service. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Graduate of Accredited medical school with degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO). Completion of Accredited Residency in chosen specialty, Experience: None Licensure: Board certification in specialty (if newly graduated from residency, must be obtained within 2 years of graduation) must be kept current, Unrestricted license to practice within the Commonwealth of Virginia, Current DEA certificate without restriction Skills: Experience utilizing a personal computer and computerized scheduling. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping, reaching (overhead, extensive, and repetitive); Repetitive motion: computer keyboard. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 50 - 100lbs.
