The Scribe gathers clinical data through patient interviews and observation, documenting assessments, procedures, and patient education accurately within the electronic medical record during physician visits. They are responsible for preparing and assembling medical record documentation for provider review and approval to facilitate efficient patient care.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and successfully complete an Orlando Health clinical documentation or Scribe training program within 60 days of hiring. A minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare-related position or relevant health-related education is required, along with proficiency in operating medical record software and general office applications.
Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health Job Title: X-Ray Operator Status: Variable Full Time 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM - Must be able to work weekends and Holidays.
Provides quality patient care when performing basic diagnostic imaging to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention while adhering to radiation safety principles. Essential Functions Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complimentary to quality care. Performs basic radiological examinations, including all quality controls/clerical duties. Delivers appropriate care while recognizing patient conditions and ensuring successful completion of procedures. Provides instructions that achieve patient cooperation and desired results. Positions patient, equipment, associated devices and manipulates technical factors to achieve high quality images for interpretation. Assesses diagnostic images for technical quality, proper annotation, and patient identification, ensuring that all relative anatomy is demonstrated. Applies principles of radiation safety to minimize exposure to patients, self and others. Ensures that equipment is in proper working order and reports any malfunctions to the Practice Manager or leader on duty. Applies appropriate standard precautions and personal protective equipment to prevent cross-contamination. Conduct basic machine maintenance as necessary Ensures safety of all customers. Maintains reasonable regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures. Other Related Functions Maintains cleanliness of work area and equipment. Maintains well stocked and organized work areas. Provides patient transport. Education/Training High School Diploma or equivalent and completed an accredited Basic X-ray Machine Operator educational program. Licensure/Certification Current Florida State License – Basic X-ray Machine Operator (BMO) Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification Experience None.
