The role involves implementing the nursing process by delivering effective, relationship-based nursing care to patients requiring intermediate care, focusing on cardiac, vascular, respiratory, neurology, and sepsis conditions. Responsibilities include demonstrating technical skills for safe practice, optimizing patient care through clear communication and collaboration, and contributing to professional nursing development.
Candidates must possess a Diploma in Nursing or an Associate's Degree in Nursing, along with an Ohio and/or Multi-State Compact Registered Nurse license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire. Proficiency in the nursing process and the use of various technical patient monitoring equipment is required, while a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
Diploma in Nursing or (ADN) Associate's Degree in Nursing (Required) (BSN) Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred) Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Knowledge of nursing process and practice. (Required proficiency) Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies (ie. stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices. (Required proficiency) Licenses and Certifications Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License (Required Upon Hire) and Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required Upon Hire) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) May be required based on the clinical care standards of the unit. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) May be required based on the clinical care standards of the unit.
