The Psychiatric Technician is responsible for administering medication and therapeutic treatments while monitoring patients for side effects and documenting resident behavior and vital signs. This role also involves communicating with staff, filling out charts, assisting with new staff orientation, ordering medication refills, and potentially acting as lead staff when management is absent.
Candidates must be at least 21 years old and possess a verifiable High School diploma or GED, along with a valid driver's license and clean driving record. Mental health experience is preferred, and the position requires full-time availability for the 3 PM to 11 PM shift, including weekends and holidays.
