This role involves preparing special blood components and performing patient testing under consultation management supervision, requiring frequent contact with internal and external customers for diplomacy and tact. Candidates must possess an MLT degree from an accredited program along with four years of recent laboratory experience, potentially leading to mentorship for Specialist in Blood Banking (SBB) certification. The position requires physical capabilities such as frequent standing, walking, lifting up to 25 lbs, and handling biohazardous materials while adhering to strict safety and regulatory standards.

Job duties involve an inherent potential for mucous membrane or skin contact with blood with a risk of exposure to Hepatitis and HIV.
