The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant provides coordinated occupational therapy services to patients across all age groups under the supervision of a Licensed Occupational Therapist. Responsibilities include performing delegated services, participating in care coordination, teaching patients and families, and completing timely documentation while adhering to safety protocols.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited occupational therapy assistant school with an Associate Degree and hold a current Texas State License to practice. A minimum of two years of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant is required, along with current CPR certification, a Hepatitis profile, and a valid driver's license with insured vehicle.

A Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant provides coordinated occupational therapy to patients of all age groups under the supervision of a Licensed Occupational Therapist.
1. Graduate of an accredited school of occupational therapy assistant with an Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy.
2. Current Texas State License to practice occupational therapy.
3. Two-year experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
4. Therapy skills as set forth in the Therapy Practice Act and other regulatory agencies.
5. Proof of current CPR and Hepatitis profile
6. Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements and is in good working order.

4. Ability to do heavy lifting, bending, pulling, pushing and standing. Prolonged standing and walking required.
5. Works in a health care facility or patients' residence in various conditions; possible exposure to blood and bodily fluids and infectious diseases; ability to work flexible schedule; ability to travel locally; some exposure to unpleasant weather.
6. Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and patient needs and to meet patient/family individualized psycho- social needs. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
7.Pull, push and or lift 15-20 pounds on a daily basis. Pull / push 125-200 pounds on a regular basis. Pulls/push 200 or more pounds on a regular basis
· Sits, stands stoops, squats, walks, and moves intermittently during work hours.
· Drives in own car to and from patients’ home. Work in patient(s) homes as well as agency office.
· Ability to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
