The Dental Assistant will provide quality care by assisting dentists with patient care, office, and laboratory duties, focusing on efficient patient flow and positive patient experiences. Key tasks include preparing operatories, collecting patient data, taking x-rays, performing delegated direct patient care, and instructing patients on oral health.
Candidates must complete an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent training meeting Iowa Dental Board requirements, possess proficiency in Microsoft Office, and demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills. Required certifications include current QDA Registration, Mandatory Reporter Training, and Basic Life Support (BLS).

This position is eligible for a $2,000 sign-on bonus, payable as $500 at hire, $500 at 6 months, and $1,000 at 1 year.^
As a Dental Assistant, you will provide quality care and services to patients by assisting dentists and staff in a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties in accordance with all policies, procedures and regulations. You will impact the efficiency and productivity of patient flow through timely, accurate and professional preparation of patients and patient information.
This position typically works at our Marshalltown Dental Clinic Monday - Friday 8 AM - 5 PM. Our team members are occasionally needed to cover other shifts or to work at other PHC clinics in Ames, Des Moines, and Marshalltown. Mileage reimbursement and/or an out of town travel bonus may apply.
Candidates with Expanded Functions Level I training may be considered for this position and are eligible for a higher pay range.

Your experience and skills determine your base pay. The hiring range for this position is typically $19.00 - $23.32 per hour. Candidates with extensive work experience related to this position may be considered for additional compensation up to the pay grade maximum of $27.98 per hour. Candidates with Expanded Functions training are eligible for the next level pay grade.
