The primary role involves performing diagnostic ultrasound testing, mainly venous and arterial mapping, as ordered by a physician, which includes preparing the patient and explaining procedures. Essential duties also cover maintaining equipment, stocking supplies, and keeping accurate department records.
Candidates must possess RDMS and Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certifications, along with experience in cardiovascular pathology and current BLS/CPR certification. A minimum requirement is completion of an accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound Technology program or equivalent education and experience.
