Key responsibilities include collaborating with physicians to develop safe, patient-focused pain management treatment plans and performing comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations. The role also involves diagnosing, ordering procedures, interpreting tests, maintaining accurate records, and educating patients and families on diagnoses and treatment options.
Candidates must have graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program and possess current AANP or NCCPA certification, along with an active and unrestricted license (Georgia specified or eligibility). Ideal qualifications include DEA with Schedule II, CPR, ACLS, and BLS certifications, with experience preferred but new graduates welcome.
