The Licensed Practical Nurse provides direct and indirect nursing care in an outpatient setting under the direction of a Registered Nurse and medical orders, implementing basic nursing procedures, administering treatments, and managing patient records. A significant focus includes managing all aspects of patient vaccines, including inventory, storage, documentation in systems like HIR and EHR, and ensuring compliance with VFC guidelines.
Candidates must possess at least twelve months (2080 hours) of LPN experience and have completed a Hawaii State Board of Nursing approved curriculum for LPN licensure. Required credentials include a Hawaii Licensed Practical Nurse license and Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
Under direction of Registered Nurse and medical orders of the Practitioner, provides direct and indirect nursing care in outpatient setting. In addition, orients and serves as a resource to LPN Clinic/Meds I as needed.
Acute care nursing experience. Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in word processing and spreadsheet PC applications.
