The Medical Assistant performs various patient care activities under the direction of a provider or RN, including obtaining basic assessment information such as vital signs, EKGs, and point-of-care tests. Key duties also involve advocating for patients, administering prescribed medications, preparing clinical areas, and accurately documenting information in the EMR.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED along with either Washington State Certified Medical Assistant status or Medical Assistant Registration. Previous clinic experience is preferred for this role.
The schedule for this position is four 10-hour shifts rotating Monday/Friday work and Monday/Friday off. Every other weekend is a four day weekend!
The Medical Assistant performs various patient care activities and related services in caring for the needs and comfort of patients under the direction of the physician, mid-level provider or RN. Duties include (but are not limited to): obtaining basic assessment information, including vital signs, and point of care test; advocating for patients; administering prescribed medications, preparing exam rooms, procedure room, and assisting providers; documenting in the EMR according to TSH policy and procedures in a fast paced clinic setting.
