The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs quality nuclear medicine exams and provides appropriate patient care and safety during procedures. They also maintain documentation and perform quality control duties.
Candidates must have completed an accredited Nuclear Medicine Program and hold a New York State Nuclear Medicine Technologist License. Additional certifications such as CNMT and CPR are required.
The Impact You Can Make Team Impact The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will work directly with radiologists and cardiologists to perform a variety of nuclear medicine and PET procedures that require judgment, ingenuity and radiation protection practices, while responding to any of the patient’s special, physical, emotional, spiritual and/or age-specific related needs How You Will Fulfill Your Potential
Performs quality nuclear medicine exams with the appropriate technical skills and according to the established procedure protocols. Provides for appropriate patient care, safety, education, radiation protection, and an exceptional customer service experience during procedures. Maintains appropriate documentation of patient records Performs proper quality control duties including daily calibration of equipment and radiation safety testing. Practices safe and efficient handling and disposal of radioactive materials according to hot lab procedures. Education/Accredited Programs Successful completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Program Licenses/Certifications/Registrations New York State Nuclear Medicine Technologist License CNMT certification or registered nuclear medicine technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) CPR Certified Skills/Abilities Ability to effectively communicate with patients, students, staff, and physicians Ability to provide excellent customer service to a variety of people Ability to promote and work in a team setting Possess strong skills in: Computers Problem solving
The expected base rate for this Glens Falls, New York, United States-based position is $37.07 to $55.61 per hour. Exact rate is determined on a case-by-case basis commensurate with experience level, as well as education and certifications pertaining to each position which may be above the listed job requirements.
