The role involves performing history, physical examinations, diagnoses, and therapeutic treatment regimens, interpreting lab results, all under the supervision of a practicing physician. The employee will collaborate with the hospitalist physician to provide direct and complex clinical and therapeutic services for acutely ill adult patients.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program and hold a current North Carolina license, along with NCCPA certification. Required certifications include BCLS from AHA, and ACLS from AHA must be obtained within twelve months of employment.
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program. Current NC license. Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
BCLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA), for healthcare providers. ACLS for healthcare providers, from the American Heart Association, within twelve months of employment.
No post graduate experience required. Given training and on-the-job experience, incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months of employment date.
