The Direct Support Professional will help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities achieve personal independence goals by providing coaching and support according to individualized care plans. Responsibilities also include assisting with daily living activities, planning recreational programs, accompanying residents on outings, and ensuring health and safety.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license held for at least three years with a clean driving record (no more than 3 points), and must pass required Pennsylvania clearances. A compassionate, patient, and dependable personality is essential, though no prior experience is necessary as comprehensive paid training is provided.
