The specialist provides counseling to clients and families using evidenced-based interventions, prepares necessary documentation like treatment and discharge plans, and offers therapeutic crisis intervention and emergency services as required. They also collect patient data, evaluate problems, manage specialized caseloads, and consult with other agencies and professional staff regarding client care.
A Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling education, human services, or a related field is required, along with active enrollment in a license-eligible master's degree program and a valid Georgia Driver's License. Strong verbal/written communication, interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and experience with Microsoft 365 are also necessary.

The Community Service Board of Middle Georgia’s is seeking a qualified individual to serve as our next Behavioral Health Specialist at our new Behavioral Health Crisis Center (BHCC) in Dublin, GA. This State-of-the-art new facility features 40 total patient beds, including 24 crisis stabilization beds and 16 temporary observation beds, offering both voluntary and involuntary patients access to safe, secure, and compassionate care. This facility will provide critical support and stabilization services for individuals experiencing behavioral health crises in a safe, structured environment where individuals can begin their journey towards healing and recovery.
