The Laboratory Assistant II supports laboratory scientists, technologists, or technicians by handling pre- and post-analytic duties within testing departments. This includes preparing samples for shipment to reference laboratories and executing Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendment (CLIA)-waived testing.
Candidates must possess an Associate's Degree in Science or a health science field, or equivalent experience, along with two years of relevant laboratory experience, though advanced education may substitute for experience. Essential skills include excellent verbal and written communication and the ability to complete tasks accurately with strong attention to detail.
The Laboratory Assistant II is responsible for aiding the laboratory scientist, technologist or technician with pre- and post-analytic duties in the testing departments. The Laboratory Assistant II is responsible for preparing samples for transport to the appropriate reference laboratory and completing Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendment (CLIA)-waived testing.
