The position involves the receipt, decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments and hospital equipment during evening shifts. The technician must also perform and document biological testing and accurately operate all department sterilizers.
A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, although one year of experience in Central Sterile or Operating Room settings is preferred. Central Sterile Certification is also preferred for this full-time role.

Technician is knowledgeable of The Joint Commission (TJC) and American Association of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI).
