Key duties involve restraining pets, triaging incoming patients, collecting and analyzing lab samples, performing diagnostic imaging, and managing hospitalized cases requiring nursing care. Responsibilities also include administering medications, assisting with surgery, managing anesthesia, and effectively communicating treatment plans to clients.
Candidates must have a minimum of one year of professional Veterinary Assistant experience and possess qualities such as compassion, calmness, and the ability to multitask. Essential requirements include the ability to properly restrain pets and withstand unpleasant environmental conditions like odors, noises, bites, and potential diseases.
