CSTs provide service and support before, during, and after surgical procedures, ensuring the proper arrangement of surgical equipment and assisting the surgeon. They also assist in the turnover of the operating room after procedures.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma/GED and certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist within four months of employment. Basic Life Support Certification and knowledge of surgical procedures and equipment are also required.
