Job description
Baystate Health is hiring a Lactation Consultant to work in our lactation services and parent education department.
In this role you will do assessments on patients who are referred for individual breastfeeding consultations.
You will evaluate and implement medical plans of care based on your patient assessment.
Position highlights: Patient experience.
In this role you will provide ongoing support to our community of new families beyond the birth of the baby.
You will provide care specific to breastfeeding patients and act as a consultant and resource to our entire multidisciplinary team of nurses, physicians, and social workers to ensure the patient is supported and that all of their clinical breastfeeding issues are addressed so that they are comfortable and supported while breastfeeding.
