The Licensed Practical Nurse performs nursing procedures and direct patient care under supervision, observing, recording, and reporting patient conditions to the supervising physician or provider. Responsibilities include administering prescribed medications, assisting with specialized procedures, implementing the nursing component of the care plan, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited school of nursing and hold current, unrestricted licensure with the State Board of Practical Nurse Examiners. Required qualifications also include CPR/BLS certification, TB and Flu vaccination, and the physical ability to perform tasks involving frequent sitting, standing, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
Constant ability to read information, including close up; constant ability to use a computer screen; frequent use of good overall vision, including color perception.
