This role involves assisting with patient examinations and treatments under the direction of a registered nurse or provider, which includes performing select clinical duties like measuring vital signs and preparing treatment rooms. Responsibilities also extend to basic clerical tasks such as answering phones, maintaining records, scheduling, and transcribing provider orders for tests and medications.
Candidates need a High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience, and no prior experience is explicitly required for the role. Applicants must maintain Basic Life Support certification and possess one of several recognized Medical Assistant certifications.
