The Speech and Language Pathologist evaluates and treats patients for deficits in speech, language, hearing, swallowing, and cognition to improve independence, safety, and quality of life. Responsibilities include conducting functional assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, documenting progress, and participating in interdisciplinary team conferences.
Candidates must possess a Master of Science degree in Speech/Language Pathology and current state licensure/certification, with a preference for at least one year of experience in geriatric rehabilitation. Excellent communication skills and demonstrated competency in speech therapy principles and equipment are also required.

Master of Science degree in Speech/Language Pathology. Current license/certification in the state of practice. Prefer minimum one (1) year experience in geriatric rehabilitation. Must meet the educational requirements for certification and be in the process of accumulating the supervised experience or meet the education and experience requirements for a Certificate of Clinical Competence in speech-language pathology granted by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association. Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Adequate computer skills in order to complete required job duties and computerized documentation. Demonstrated competency in applying principles, methods, materials and equipment used in speech therapy. Demonstrated competency in applying the principles, methods, materials and equipment used in speech therapy. Knowledge of accreditation standards and compliance requirements.
