The Emergency Department Tech I is responsible for shift accountability in providing patient care within the emergency department, following direction from RNs and physicians, and adhering to established standards and hospital policies. This role serves as a vital part of the patient care support team, offering essential assistance and comfort to patients during their healthcare journey.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and hold required certifications including Certified Nursing Assistant/EMT and BLS/CPR from the American Heart Association. Additionally, Healthy Interventions certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.

The Emergency Dept Tech I holds shift accountability for providing care to patients in accordance with RN direction, physician direction, and recognized techniques, standards of practices and hospital policy and procedures in the emergency department and related areas.
