The worker provides recovery support to reduce care barriers and improve patient health outcomes by educating patients on Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), Hepatitis C Virus (HCV), risk reduction, and medical adherence. This role involves utilizing harm reduction strategies to engage patients, providing training on Naloxone and overdose prevention, and linking patients to necessary community services.
The minimum requirement is a High School Diploma or GED, though an Associate's degree or Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA) certification is preferred. Candidates must possess at least one year of relevant work experience.

Sun River Health is seeking a full-time MAT Peer Adherence Worker to join our team at the Peekskill location.
Provides recovery support to reduce barriers of care and shares strategies to improve patient health outcomes. This includes educating patients regarding MAT, HCV, risk reduction, medical and medication adherence. Provides education resources and materials that serve to promote recovery support education on harm reduction, MAT, Naloxone, and treatment. Provides Harm reduction and opioid overdose and prevention training and support.
