Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse in an inpatient hospital unit, this role performs routine direct patient care, environmental support, and administrative tasks to ensure patient health, safety, and comfort according to unit policies. Responsibilities include learning and demonstrating competency in standard clinical procedures and maintaining quality and safety standards.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and preference is given to candidates enrolled in or who have completed CNA, Medical Assistant, or EMT programs, along with at least one year of pediatric Patient Care Assistant experience. Candidates must obtain BLS/CPR certification within two weeks of hire and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training within three months.
Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse as part of an inpatient/hospital unit, performs a variety of routine direct patient care, environmental and administrative support activities to promote the health, safety and comfort of patients and families. All patient care and support activities are completed in accordance with CCMC and unit policies and procedures.
