The Licensed Practical Nurse will deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the chemical dependency unit, assisting with the development and implementation of individualized patient care plans. Key duties include monitoring patient progress, administering medication, and providing emotional support and education to patients and their families.
Applicants must hold current Licensed Practical Nurse licensure in the state of employment and obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within three months. Furthermore, employees must attest to being free of chemical use problems for at least one year preceding hiring, as defined by Minnesota Rules.

Your contributions will be vital in fostering a supportive environment that promotes recovery and well-being. Key Responsibilities of this LPN: Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the chemical dependency unit. Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans. Monitor and document patient progress, vital signs, and medication administration. Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families. Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care. This LPN will support our chemical dependency unit, assisting patients requiring mental health care in relation to substance abuse. The hours of this role will be 3:00PM - 11:00PM and working 56 hours every two weeks. Licensure/Certification Qualifications: Current Licensed Practical Nurse licensure in the state of employment. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or obtained within 3 months of employment. In accordance with Minnesota Rules 9530.6450 Subpart 1-B; all employees must be free of chemical use problems for at least one year immediately preceding their hiring and must sign a statement attesting to that fact. Chemical use problems are defined as: Receiving treatment for chemical use within the period specified for the position in the staff qualification requirements. Chemical use that has a negative impact on the staff member's job performance; Chemical use that affects the credibility of treatment services with clients, referral sources, or other members of the community; and Symptoms of intoxication or withdrawal on the job.
